Projects

During the 2018 flood in Kerala, we initiated our activity. We collected from group members and well-wishers around Rs 25 lakh and allocated it to individuals experiencing financial hardships in the form of food, medication, shelter, and clothing. During the 2019 flood, we were able to assist with work valued at 6 lakh rupees. During COVID-19, we distributed tabs to students to encourage them to participate in online learning. These activities were beneficial to around 200 selected students in Kerala. The amount spent on various activities to support COVID victims was around Rs 25 lakh.

2018 floods

• Food kit worth Rs 1000+ for 2000+ families. Materials procured from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Packing and distribution by members of Bhoumam and other social organisations. Beneficiaries are identified throughout Kerala through self-government institutions, communities, personal contacts, etc.
• Food for 500+ paramilitary volunteers engaged in cleaning up of Mala Panchayath, for 3 days.
• 170+ double beds for school students of Nanthikkara School and families in and around Aluva & Ernakulam
• 600+ cleaning kits across Kerala
• Various relief materials for relief camps at Holy Family School and St. Thomas College, Thrissur
• Packed lunch served at public places, including public bus stands and railway station, Thrissur
• Food material for relief camp at Vincent DePaul Hospital, Ollur
• 150+ water purifiers supplied to various locations

2019 floods

• Various relief materials for relief camp at St. Thomas College, Thrissur
• Relief materials for Wayanad and Mavoor
• Medicinal items for Nilambur
• Relief materials supplied through the GEC Thrissur NSS unit
• Utensils, dress material, and relief items to camp at Srikandpuram Kannur, supplied to Patheyam Trust
• 100+ cleaning kits for Wayanad

Covid

• 200+ Lenovo computing tablets for students from 90+ schools in Kerala
• Food for Govt. Covid care centres at Thrissur, Chelakkara, Kadavalloor & Nattika. 2000+ man-days of food were served.
• One-month ration for 100 families living in Delhi slums, executed in association with Lakshya Jeevan Jagriti
• Food for patients at Ernakulam Medical College, executed in association with JEREMIAH HOME AND BERTONI PALLIATIVE CARE CENTRE
• Ten days of food through the community kitchen at Nenmanikkara, Thrissur
• Food for street dwellers, executed in association with ACTS
• Food and medical expenses for people of the landlocked Perumbalam island
